Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Kouhsari, Deputy for International Affairs of the Islamic Seminaries, made the remarks at a gathering in Qom convened to honor clerics and seminary students who took part in relief efforts for the Lebanese people.
The meeting brought together officials from the People's Headquarters for Lebanon and a number of seminary students and international volunteer activists.
Kouhsari conveyed the greetings and appreciation of top religious authorities, the Supreme Council of Islamic Seminaries and Ayatollah Arafi, head of Iran's seminaries, commending the round-the-clock efforts of volunteer clerics in serving the people of Lebanon.
'A successful model of international activism'
Referring to the difficult conditions faced by the Lebanese nation, Hojatoleslam Kouhsari described the presence of Iranian clerics alongside the Lebanese people as a successful and valuable model of international activism.
"Today, the patterns of propagation and presence in the international arena have transformed compared with the past. Your actions as volunteer clerics were a clear manifestation of standing with the Lebanese nation — a model that showed the seminaries can have an effective, trend-setting and civilizational presence in the field, even beyond traditional tools and language-based propagation," he said.
He emphasized that rapid global developments are moving in favor of the forces of truth and the resistance discourse, adding that the world is witnessing a massive wave of interest in the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the discourse of the Islamic Revolution.
"This situation requires more active role-playing, leadership and presence of clerics and seminary students on global stages so they can guide this luminous movement," Kouhsari stated.
Need for enhanced capabilities
The seminary official also pointed to the sensitivities of international work, particularly in media and security domains, stressing the need to upgrade the capabilities of seminary graduates through deep study of Quranic teachings, the thought of martyr Morteza Motahhari and precise articulation of the Islamic Revolution's achievements.
He outlined the extensive engagement of Iran's seminaries with institutions, religious scholars, Sunni clerics and religious figures in Lebanon, saying that maintaining and strengthening strategic ties with countries such as Lebanon and Iraq remains a fundamental priority.
Field presence shapes new generation
Hojatoleslam Eshaqi, head of the People's Headquarters for Lebanon, along with other volunteer clerics present, delivered reports and shared experiences from their relief work in Lebanon.
Participants stressed that the direct encounter with the realities of the resistance front and the issues facing the Muslim world pulls seminary students out of purely theoretical spaces and opens new horizons for service.
The meeting highlighted that introducing new paths such as "international preacher," "social activist" and "resistance front volunteer" can present a bright, dynamic and inspiring vision of clerical missions for the new generation of seminarians.
Expanding grassroots support model
The session also examined the successful experience of the "people's deployment model" and its linkage of local capacities inside Iran with the international arena.
The presence of volunteer clerics in Lebanon demonstrated that international clerical activism can generate a wave of solidarity and social mobilization at home, activating mosques, religious gatherings and cultural organizations across Iranian cities to raise awareness and collect extensive public aid for the resistance front.
In this process, the cleric serves as the connecting link between grassroots capacities and the operational field of the resistance front.
The meeting also underscored the diversity of programs implemented according to regional needs in Lebanon, including social and relief services for displaced people, educational and cultural programs for children, trainer training courses, social research and media programs aimed at building local capacities.
The gathering concluded with the presentation of plaques and commemorative gifts honoring the effective role, volunteer efforts and valuable presence of clerics and seminary students in serving the resilient and proud people of Lebanon.
